What is CY Cable ?
A CY Cable is also known as instrumentation cable, and is commonly used to interconnect cables for measuring, controlling and regulation in control equipment for production, assembly lines, office machines and systems for data processing.
For people who require interference-free transmission, CY cables are required. These cables have a tinned copper wire braid and a Polyethylene Terephthalate (PETP) separator. These protect the cable from external electromagnetic influences and mechanical stress.
We produce CY cables in a grey sheath, which are highly flexible multi core cables with (class 5) copper conductors. They also have a voltage rating of 300/500v, having been manufactured to meet the requirements of BS6500 and VDE0250.
We can supply CY cables in both Low Smoke Zero Halogen and PVC versions, each installation should always have the correct cable used.
